Applicant Tracking System vs Recruitment Software: What's the Difference?

Recruitment software is a broad name. It can mean a job board, a CV database, a careers site, or a full hiring system. An Applicant Tracking System is more specific.

An ATS tracks applicants. Each person who applies is attached to a job, moved through stages, and kept with the notes, interviews, and offer that belong to that application. If you cannot see where a candidate is, you do not have an ATS. You have a folder.

Where the careers page fits

A branded career page is how candidates find and apply for roles. It is a feature of a recruitment platform, not a substitute for tracking. Applications still need an owner, a stage, and a decision.

What to buy

If the problem is “we post jobs but lose track of people,” you need an ATS. If the problem is only “our careers site looks unfinished,” a page alone will not fix screening, interviews, or offers.

Dammah Selectra is an Applicant Tracking System. The career page sits inside it, next to screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
